- What is the scale of the community garden?
- The inaugural 2010 community garden produced hundreds of vegetables over the growing season, and served many families. It is comprised of raised beds totaling a few hundred square feet and surrounded by deer fencing. We hope to expand its square footage significantly in 2011.
- How often is the food pantry used?
- The food pantry is used on a weekly basis by several families. An average size family may take up to 2 large paper bags of dry goods for free each week.
- What amenities will the new building have?
- The new building will provide seating for around 100 for community kitchen meals. It will also have a shower where the homeless will be able to clean up. The food pantry will be expanded to include large freezers for different types of food donations. These items are in addition to the clothing giveaway storage area.
- When is building scheduled to begin?
- We hope to begin building late summer or early fall of 2011. This way, the facility will be available by the time cold weather hits Cleveland and its people in need for the 2012 winter season.

- What happens to my donation if not enough money is raised?
- We will put all donations into a savings account for the new building during 2011. If sometime during 2012 it becomes apparent that the goal of $300,000 will not be acheived within any reasonable timeframe, the monies donated will be used for the clothing giveaway, food pantry, and community garden ministries in their current form. Donations received for Audrey's Closet will be earmarked for these specific purposes and will not go into the church's general fund.
- Who is the builder associated with the project?
- The builder is Simmons Brothers Construction, a well respected builder in the NE Ohio area.
- What money-saving measures are included in the building plans?
- Except for the kitchen and bathroom areas as required by code, the flooring consists of painted concrete. Volunteers will donate their time for general projects such as painting. All applicances, fixtures, and other items in the building have been selected as "no-frills" items that minimize costs while still meeting the needs of the structure's uses.
- Where did the name Audrey's Closet from from?
- A longtime member of the church, Audrey Telep, came up with the idea for and started the clothing giveaways about 20 years ago. She has since passed away, but the ministry God began through her continues to touch lives.
- I know someone in need who could benefit from attending a clothing giveaway. When is the next event?
- Contact the church at (216) 433-1515. We will provide the date and time of the next event, as well as clarify directions or other questions.
- I would like to donate clothing or food for the ministry. How do I arrange this?
